Default Hi!

Hey everyone! Hailing from good ol' western, NY (Rochester to be exact).

Picked up a 2005 Dakota Club Cab a little over a week ago. Extremely low miles, zero rust and in pretty much mint condition. The dealer put on brand new tires, all new front suspension (ball joints, sway bar links, etc), new steering shafts, and brand new brakes. I got the truck at a steal so I can't complain.

So, on to pics of Veronica (as I call her....)

First thing I did when bringing it home was debadge it, take off the dealer stickers, dealer plate frames and add tinted covers....

Next, came a Lund Genesis Tri-Fold cover....

Then added hashtag graphics over the fenders and rear bed stripes....

Just received my pioneer head unit, all new Kicker speakers for inside, window tint for the side windows, and my 2" leveling kit is sitting here in a box waiting to go in. I also ordered a split rear exhaust for it. I want to put on some more meaty tires at some point but since the dealer put 4 brand new tires on it, no need to do that yet until they need replacing.

This is pretty much my winter beater, if you want to call it that. lol I was rollin in a Jeep with now 180K on the odometer for a few years during the winter, which was a tank in the snow but finally have to let it go due to the body rusting out like crazy.

This is the summer ride....

2010 Genesis Coupe Turbo RSPEC Edition (tons and tons and tons of mods)

She'll be going into winter hibernation in about a 4 weeks, so the Dak will be the full time ride until April!

Zero rust in NY, let's see how long that lasts.

Welcome aboard.

The truck is from the south so it should stay pretty spotless as long as I keep it clean all the time throughout the winter. Thinking about getting a monthly membership to a carwash so I can go as much as I want. Guess we'll see how it holds up.

Jumping in with both feet on the upgrades I see. Let us know how that stereo and exhaust turn out.

Welcome aboard! I'm thinking that in Rochester, you'll be looking at a different set of tires for a "winter beater", otherwise, you might be headed the wrong way on the Interstate!

Welcome and congrats. You have made a good choice there. I am interested in the stereo install, as I am about to tackle this project myself.

That's the only way to do it! When I knew I was going to be buying the truck, I went on a spending frenzy and bought everything within a couple of days. Installed everything the day I got it all, so I did everything literally within a week's time frame.

Yeah, not sure how well these tires will do in the snow, but the truck is 4wd, and I'll throw some sand bags in the back to give it a little more weight. Even though they're brand new, they're not name brand (probably so the dealer could save money) and I'm pretty sure they're very basic all seasons. BTW...been tinkering on the idea of buying the exact hood scoop you have on your truck in your signature. Seeing how it looks on a black Dak has solidified my decision in buying it.

Thanks! It's just a single din Pioneer that lets me control Pandora (which is wanted mostly since the summer car has XM in it....cant stand traditional radio). I got it all wired up, so now just need a couple of hours to pop it in the dash, rip out the 4 factory speakers and put the Kickers in.

I'd really like to pick up a set of Ram SRT10 or Sport wheels for the summer too.

If I can find some at a reasonable price, I'll most likely do that. But I'm in no rush at this point.

Its not the wheels you are looking for, but check out the good-bye thread in here. The member had a tree fall on his truck and has some up for sale. It may or may not interest you, but it doesn't hurt to look at a pic.

nice find and welcome aboard, first thing I would do is look into fender flares, nothing to outrageous. this will definitely save the bed from rusting out. and you wont have to color match either
