Default Axle nut

Getting ready to put Daystar leveling kit in this weekend, anybody know offhand the size of the axle nut? Pretty sure it's bigger than any metric socket in my tool box. Thanx

I can't remember the size, I had to buy one special l for just this task. If no one answers, I will post the size later when I get home. Meanwhile, you can read my how-to to see what you are in for.

Just used it a couple of weeks ago. 35 mm. In most "axle nut kits" loaned by auto parts stores.

I read your how to a couple of weeks ago, that's what made me decide to tackle the project! great write-up thanks! I have 36mm socket for my Harley rear axle nut. Guess i'll have 35mm socket after this project! Thanks northgator8

I was lucky and had just had my struts replaced by a shop, so the lower strut bolt had already been broken free. That is the worst part about doing anything on the fronts of these trucks (besides trying to add tow hooks...lol). Start spraying the lower bolts now with pb blaster or something, have a torch ready and a BFH, cause those things do not like to come out.

Hopefully with only 22k miles on it the lower strut bolt won't be TOO stubborn!
