RE: How long is long enough....
my guess is the inferno red
It has a 3 dimensional look to the paint job like you see at shows with lots of coats. The underlying pearl has a sleight glimmer in full sun but is not overpowering. I had always wanted a T-bucket with Candy Apple Red but I like my Dak with Inferno Red.
Sorry those photos don't really do it justice. Thanks for the compliments and Happy New Year.

RE: How long is long enough....
To shed some light on the problem.... The problem is that the plant that daks are built at has had a lot of downtime due to inventory reductions. We were just down for two weeks. I go back tomorrow for 4 days, then we are off again for 3 weeks. Then I come back for 1 week, then off again for two. Thats why its taken so long. Of the 3 months you waited the plant only ran about a month and a half.
Hope you enjoy our truck! And thanks for the business!!

Yeah...nice truck!!
DEFINITELY looks like it was worth the wait.
My dad is getting an '06 Durango Limited 2wd HEMI in the same color (Inferno Red).
Inferno Red has been on the cars/minivans/SUVs now for quite some time and they finally decided to bring it to the trucks this year!! I like it!

RE: How long is long enough....
Just curious since I'm looking at the exact same truck. What was your price out the door?
I believe it's a V8 with auto trans and 4WD?
What other options did you get?
Thanks!

RE: How long is long enough....
Let's see if I can get all this down:
Dakota QC 4x4 4.7L Magnum V8 SLT with limited slip and 3.92 RER and 5 spd auto.
It has the Towing Package and 26E Group package.
Rear sliding glass window with rear windows tinted.
Heated cloth bucket seats, medium slate gray, and side curtain airbags.
Chrome tubular side steps
Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat.
Tonneau cover and under rail bed liner
All the remaining goodies were standard with the 26E group and tow pkg.
Combination of highway/city driving is giving 15 mpg with a little less than 500 miles on it
Out the door was $28,300.
I'm loving every minute behind the wheel.
