You can find aftermarket headlights, but they look exactly the same as your OEM headlights. You're not finding any fancy ones because none are available for the 2008 and up Dakotas.

Our sad reality. Only option is to get a set of headlights that you can rip open to take the projectors from... and then find a way to retrofit them in the Dak headlights. I predict the final result wouldn't end up being worth all the trouble. So just pop some HIDs in those halogen reflectors and you are good to go

Putting HID's in standard halogen reflector housings is generally frowned upon here.....

It is frowned upon just about everywhere. Nobody should ever put HIDs in halogen reflectors. I'll try to make my sarcasm more obvious next time, haha

You can also go to the retrofit source and for about350 you can get a projector hid upgrade and just do it yourself it’s not really all that hard

I know better than putting hid's in a halogen housing, so I bought a set of led's off amazon that were being sold as drop in halogen replacements for my 19 year old car. Not quite as advertised. i now have them aimed as low as I can, and the truckers have quit trying to run me off the road.
