I'm in the process still. crawling through the wiring portion now. I went with 2010 Ram Hemi. So I'm having to use the newer pcm, thus redo the whole wiring harness.

As far as mounting the drivetrain, it was not bad at all, we simply fabricated hot rod motor mounts and they actually mount to the stock V6 perches perfectly, for the trans we fabbed a custom mounting plate that utilizes the stock v6 trans mount.

BE SURE TO MEASURE DRIVELINE LOCATION BEFORE REMOVING THE V6! (try to get as close to stock placement as possible... we were dead on)



4.7 Driveshaft works perfect


so quick question, because the Durango is based on the Dakota could you use everything from a durango and it will bolt up and work without fabrication at all?

did you ever figure that out? pulling my engine tomorrow with the trans and what not and if a durango is direct swap that'll be great

If it was a bolt on installation, everyone would do it. So the answer is no. It is not a direct swap.
