Default Starting issue in park

Periodically my 05, v6, auto, 4x4 does not know it is in park and will not energize the starter circuit. The park indicator light on the column does not light up but the truck is mechanically in park. It will start however in neutral. Where do I start looking?
Thanks

If you wiggle the shifter, will the light come on? (and then the truck start?)

It's probably an adjustment, or switch then. I don't have wiring diagrams, so, not sure where to point you beyond that.....

Thats what I figure too. Just would like to know where. In the column, Under dash, at the transmission?
Thanks

Think I would start with the linkage, see if anything obvious presents itself.

Maybe the Neutral Safety Switch.
