Default Amp installation help!!

I have a 2010 3.7 Dodge dakota Lone star. Am very new to cars much less audio but am a huge DIYer. I just picked up an 400w amp i picked up from a buddy for 40$ and an amp wiring kit from Wal-Mart and I have also installed 300w 6.5in Kicker speakers in the fronts. All I did was cut the wires butt em together and called it a day. My question today is if I can use the stock head unit and factory speaker wires to the amp and how I'm going to. Bc i took out the HU and there was no input for the RCAs. Bare with me if you can I'm a huge noob to car audio.

The speaker wires are going to be line-level out. (thru the built in amplifier) External amp may not like that, as it wants preamp level inputs....... (which your headunit apparently does not provide.) Does the amp have line level inputs by chance?

They make a kit that will convert speaker wires to RCA out. Easy find on amazon.

The pics and such are showing in the post above this one?

Here is the manual for your amp. That should help.
