Default Leaf spring center pin w/lift blocks

I plan on installing 2" lifting blocks for my rear suspension of my 06 r/t. My concern is that the leaf spring center pin/bolt does not come out and after installing 2 inch blocks, it will obviously not stick all the way through the leaf springs. What is the correct way on installing lift blocks with a stationary/non-removable center bolt? Thank you for any advice-love the site s far!

This looks strangely familiar........

Thought you already drilled out the blocks?

I did but then I asked if I was just supposed to leave the bolt/pin 2 inches short to where it would not come out the top of the leaf springs or another option?? I had no response and would like to get this installed but on the same note, I don't want to install the blocks knowing the centering pin will not be through all of the leaf springs if I don't know that it will be safe.

I still go back to did you buy the correct blocks? Did they come with any instructions or anything? I installed a 2" add a leaf on mine. So I didn't have to deal with a block of metal, but I agree, wouldn't be too safe with the leafs being able to slide back a forth. I don't know what to tell you at this point. Hopefully, someone on here has installed blocks that can chime in.

If you search "rear lift blocks" in this section, there are several old threads about the issue you are encountering. Maybe that will help you out.

Dont mess around. I have alloy blocks with a tab on the bottom and a slot on the top. I think the leaf pin fit into the slot on top of the block and the tab on the bottom of the block went into the slot on the spring mount. I tell you this for two reasons: 1 the importance of the pin, and 2: dont use the alloy blocks. I wheel kinda hard sometimes, and the alloy blocks deformed and the tab sheared off. My axle slid back on the leaf spring one day offroad, as a result of not having an effective locator pin system.
