Default Water pump replacement questions

Well, it looks like it is time for a water pump on my truck. I have the service manual and the job seems like I can handle it, I just have a question for those that have done this.
Are you supposed to change the fan/viscous clutch at the same time? I am seeing where I can get the pump, then I see where I can get the pump/clutch together.
I have also read somewhere, could of been on here, that while you are in there and disturbing things, you may as well replace the idler pulley. I am not concerned about putting money into it, but if I can save some and put toward some more mods, I would like to do so.
Also, on the pump, would you say go back with a Mopar part, or would a part from Pep Boys or Autozone be just fine? I ask this because I know from experience the truck prefers OEM sensors, I just donīt know about the quality of part store water pumps. Again, if I can save some here, I have a wild idea in my head for some interior re-configurations that I would like to proceed with this summer.

What engine do you have?

I would just go to the parts store for the parts you need. No real need to pay the exorbitant prices ma mopar will want for 'em.....

I have the 4.7L V8.

I added everything to my cart on Pep Boys and with the water pump with clutch and gasket, idler pulley, new belt, T-stat, and the coolant is less than 300 dollars, I think I will just go ahead and do it all. Thanks.
