Default blame it on the rain?

Got caught in a downpour today. Went to a store, came out 30 min later and check engine, air bag, and brake light illuminated on dash. Wipers not working, and turn signals not working. Turned the truck off, restarted 3 times to no avail. Made it to a gas station across the road, disconnected & reconnected battery and everything back to normal.

Any ideas what's going on?

It's possible..... I just didn't consider it since it's only one year old and has shown no signs of failure. Kind of wondering if the aftermarket stereo is messing with things? I did notice that the stereo was staying on with key off when I was having problems. I've got one of those can-bus harness adapters in there since I've got a factory amp and all.

I cleared the codes after last post, Have drove every day since, about 150 miles. I don't know.

I wish we had a reset button on the dash.... The only thing I can think of is maybe a battery switch in case this happens again.

So here we are in the summer again, and I'm having this issue again. No wipers, signals, horn probably more dead electrical systems that I'm not noticing. Last month happened during a heavy rain, today it is nice and sunny and it happened again. I drove home 10 miles, disconnect and reconnect battery and all is good again.

Check and clear codes. This time I only have a U0155 code.

The only thing I've noticed that could be contributing is I have a broken exhaust stud on drivers side. Theres some wiring running on the firewall near the manifold that is missing the plastic wire shielding - think the exhaust cooked it off. I pulled the exhaust manifold off to fix, but it is broken off flush and I tried drilling and broke my ez out off in it so I think I'm screwed.

Other than that, this started last year not long after I installed aftermarket stereo. Eh, might be another issue I'll have to live with.

Grasping at a couple straws here.. Wrapped a bunch of wires with missing looms with hvac heat shield tape. Replaced the stock battery terminals - you know the ones that aren't solid - have a gap and can lead to poor connectivity. This happens only at startup, so maybe?

We'll see.

So, as you can see I've been dealing with this for 5 years. Think I've finally figured it out. Lights on the dash went ape and I lost functions again last week. This time, I had a serious battery drain afterwards killing the battery in 4 hrs or so. After I charged the battery and jumped it off I had a message on my radio - it literally said F - Off....... So I knew something was up here. Did an amp draw test, had 3a. After pulling the radio and interface, down to .11a.

The interface is the culprit. This one in particular is an Axxess CHTO-13BB. Installed by a local audio shop for me. I thought they installed a PAC model, but apparently not.

Not sure what I'm going to do, gave away my factory stereo when I upgraded. Anyone try one of these Chinese Android units that claim to have the interface built in where you can view data on screen also? Or should I get another interface and go with something brand name?
