You did. You specified tire sizes, which don't seem to be there now. I was going by the tire sizes you listed.
If you are putting on the same size tire, just one worn, and one new, that simply isn't an issue.

your mistaken friend. I never listed tire size. That would explain why it's not there.

In any event, a new tire one one side, and an older tire on the other side, really shouldn't matter.

I would want the treadwear to be within 3/32" difference.
If you replace 2 tires on the same axle, the differential won't walk and won't be any issue in 2wd...put the 2 new tires on the rear and don't do tire rotations until the treadwear matches up. you could then run 5 tire rotation and if you damage another one, your covered.
