Underneath the hood, drivers side front corner of engine. Black block by fender and up by firewall almost.

Got it thanks,
No I just got to figure out what’s actually wrong with it
already replaced the transfer case motor , But still changes to 4 Lo while driving at 70 miles an hour.
And locks into 4high occasionally like going through a drive-through.. but no indicator light .
Also engages or clicks when ignition is off and key is out .When manually turning the dial on the dash it locks into 4high but just blinks at four Lo. Cannot turn it to neutral when you press that little recessed button.
No visible shorts at transfer case wiring Harness .next step I guess is the switch itself on the dash
Any other ideas would help thank you
,

Default Same Problem

I've been driving with fuse out for the past 8 months. I go put it back in when I need 4 wheel drive. When the fuse is out the light comes on and it dings about 15 minutes after I start the truck, but after a while the light will go off on the dash. This is related to the fcm issue that other members on the forum have. Just haven't wanted to spend the money to replace the fcm.

Then something isn't working right..... Either the t-case control module, or the funky little motor on the t-case that actually shifts the gears.
