Default 2006 rack and pinion

Can the fluid lines on the rack and pinion be replaced. I am not finding the parts for that anywhere, just the Rack assembly

Yes the lines can be replaced. Look for power steering pressure line and power steering return line. Rockauto.com has the under steering.

I think he is referring to the steel lines actually on the rack itself.

In that case, the answer is still yes. You just need to go to a place that deals with hydraulic hose and fittings and get it made up. if you have the tools for bending tubing and flaring, you could make it yourself. You generally won't be able to buy it from an auto parts store as it is a piece that comes with the rack and pinion.

To bad you didn't have this issue a week ago. I literally just scrapped my old rack and pinion (replaced the whole assembly) and didn't even think to take the hydraulic lines off it. Could have shipped them too ya. They were in alright shape too. FYI, I got the entire rack and pinion on eBay for like $180 bucks, so not terrible if your assembly is leaking in spots or if push comes to shove.

Good luck though sir!

Thanks Smokeykurt. Have a guy with all the tools to make new lines and see how that works.
