do you know if its possible to order the hood/grill of the R/T? i really want that sweet hoodscoop and body painted grille.
my neighbor owns a paintshop and said he will charge me $550 to paint to grille and the front bumper....which is a pretty good deal, but i want that damn hoodscoop!!!

You can get the Hood scoop from Dodge. I saw it in their accessories catalog. Not sure how much though. I'm looking into getting another hood for mine from suncoast creations. They make functional hoods that look real good on most vehicles.

Yanno, there was a reason why the previous R/T Dakota was popular. It looked different, it rode different, and it performed different.
This new version Dakota is P.O.S. compared to it, least on the outside. It looks like nothing but a paint job and hood scoop to differentiate the Sport from the R/T.
How very sad....
They need to trim that front bumper down....make it flat with the grill...instead of standing out 6 inches...

They also need to take and change the wheels to something a bit different than the same wheels they put on the Laramies. They need some wheels that are more like the Viper, or the SRT-8s. Something different. THey also need to make the hood functional. Why even put on a scoop if it isn't functional.

Hold on there! What was so different about the previous R/T's ? The only real difference was the wheels, the muffler and the 5.9. Wow thats huge right? After 2001 you could get a 5.9 in any quad cab, and for 2004 you could get the same wheels as well. But they were chrome. This new at least looks different than a regular sport at least. Plus on the inside you get R/T gages, embossed headrests, and different doorpanels.
