Default Strange Noise (Update)

New to me 2006 extended cab, limited slip 2wd, V6, Manual trans, 150,000km
I have a scraping noise in the driveline somewhere.
Jack the truck up, put it in drive, and the noise vanishes. Manual turning of the wheels also nothing (after I did the front bearings)
Visual check of the brakes front and rear shows nothing at all (except as noted below). The noise seems to increase in a corner, either way.
I've replace the front wheel bearings, and the front disk brakes both rotors and pads, they needed it anyway. Also the drive shaft hanger bearing as I could hear a tiny noise from it turning it manually.

That leaves rear axle/brake issues.

I noted when I removed the rear drums that I had very little difficulty getting the drums off. The inside of the drum seems to be tapered to the outside. Almost no ridge at all.
The brakes have been functioning, they were adjusted up fine, but this taper has me wondering what's happened in the past with this truck. The drums don't seem to be warped, but I haven't the proper tools to check for sure.

New drums etc have been ordered. Just wondering if others have experienced this.

Update:
The noise frequency has been bugging me. It sounded so much like the frequency of the squeak you get with a bad u joint, that I knew there was no way this was brakes. But nothing touches the drive shaft. Hmm, truck up on stands, I ran it again, not a peep, no noise at all.
Started carefully going over the exhaust piping. There I found it. The hanger right in front of the rear axle, the one that is almost invisible unless you're under the truck. It was in place, and looked OK, but when you moved the pipe, it separated making a scraping noise. A minute with the welder and the noise vanished for good.

Obviously, I have searched in vane for something rubbing, Nothing. (yeah, I'm leaving myself open for smart comments here)

I had a deep scraping coming from front of my truck last summer and it turned out to be a froze up caliper. You said you already checked brakes so this may not be helpful but thought I'd leave that here :/

Thanks, yes, I've done the front brakes. Brake noise typically changes or goes away when the brakes are applied. I think this noise changes somewhat that fuels my idea that it's those weird back drums. The concern is that I don't see any marks where anything has been scraping. But, the parts should be here by weeks end, and when I get time, and it's warm enough, we will see.

how often do you use your e brake? wonder if your mechanism is sticking. release your e brake lever and crawl under truck with a bar and pull back on the mechanism on each drum, see if you get any movement out of them.

Hi, yeah, I use the ebrake every single time I park the truck. Being a standard trans it's just a thing I do. Now if it were the car, or my Jeep, both Automatics, I'd be looking at that right away, as I rarely use the E brake. I do need to service the adjusters though, the star wheel is mush.
