rubber boots/feet on radiator?
I know they exist, but mine are just gone.. I found this out yesterday as I was replacing my radiator, and my radiator support bracket. Is there a universal part for this or do I need to head to a salvage yard? it would have been great if dodge used better metals and rust proofing on these trucks..
I found them part # 04401950 summit has them, found lots of other one retailers that had them with mixed reviews. summit wants almost 11$ for "handling" fee. and @ 15$ a part, that turns into 40$ for some molded rubber.. I'm going to local salvage yard first.
after more research, they fit the 97-99 dakota. I have yet to find the correct part# for this...(i still have not gotten to the salvage yard as I'm waiting on a new AC condenser now too.)
You can use the rubber bushing from a shock absorber or a rubber donut exhaust hangar slightly modified.Just find something that is similat i.d. to what you need.Does not have to be exact size to do the job well.
I went to a salvage yard, the ones off a ram not sure the year as it was heavily front end damaged but the boots were the right size for the supports on the radiator and the diameter of the lower bracket holes. Cost me 10 minutes with a pair of pliers and 5 bucks lol.

I can take pictures of my truck with them installed, but not from the junk yard. The front end of the salvage truck was bent enough to where I just bend down and grabbed the rubber boots with a pair of pliers and pulled them off. It wont be till after 5pm (central time) before I get the pics though.
