Couple Quick Questions
New to me 2011 Dakota SLT (has "SXT" on tailgate?) 4x4 Crew Cab 3.7L automatic. Couple things I noticed are:
Q1, For keyless entry can I program it to unlock "all 4 doors?" It currently only unlocks the driver door.
Q2, The Tachometer works intermittently. It will work fine 75% of the time - then it will stay (like its stuck) at 1500, 2000, 2500, or elsewhere on the dial and not move until I shut the engine off then it returns to zero.
Q3, Build sheet says it has an engine block heater. Where should I look for it under the hood.
Build Sheet attached, anything I should know about?

First thing to look for is the owner's manual. You can find it online in PDF. 2011s didn't come with printed owner's manuals, just the quick start guides.
1) Yes...hitting the unlock button twice on the fob should open all of the doors. Sometimes, it doesn't seem to work when the truck is cold, but works fine when it's warm (like coming out of a store). Not sure why...could be the truck battery (it works better now that I recently replaced mine) or the fob battery.
2) don't know
3) it's a small gadget that plugs into the lower side of the engine block. Look for a three-pronged plug that sits in front of the radiator and behind the grill. I think it's on the driver's side.

Thanks! Pressing the key fob worked great to unlock the doors. Just got home from work so will check for the heater cord tomorrow (today). I looked through the manual in the glove box along with the CD that came with it also. Will check online for a service manual or at least an owners manual.
Found out my fog lights don't work when pressing the dial on any setting (parking, running or bright lights. Will check out the fuses tomorrow also.

Downloaded me an owners manual (450ish pages) this morning. And it was the bulbs that burned out but unfortunately I broke the harnesses at the fixtures so will be making new ones. Pretty simple task.
Free Manual is here: I've been using this site to get manuals for years and have a nice library built up (both online and downloaded). https://www.manualslib.com/manual/73...kota-2011.html

Q2) Your needle was pressed on too snug, and does not move freely. Mine does the same thing, ever since I installed a new gauge face, and I'm to blame. I had trouble getting all of the guages in the correct positions, and that was the one last issue that I had, which actually started after I put the instrument cluster all back together again. I figured it wasn't worth the effort of pulling it all apart again, so I just live with it like that. The needles all press on from the front, and if you press a bit to much, it rubs and doesn't move free.
