Flashpaq F5 on 2010 dodge Dakota
Ive recently purchased a known good Flashpaq F5 (3845) for my 2009/2010 dodge dakota bighorn and received it today only to find it saying it doesn't support my vehicle. Im currently sitting here dejected and disappointed with this and the fact I didn't do as much research as I needed to realize that this would happen. Though before I through my hands up and sell this for a diablo or something similar, im wondering if there is something I can do to get this thing to work, If so id love to know, or am I just shafted?
Please n thanks,

Did you buy it used?
Each Fashpaq is VIN specific.
In other words, the first vehicle to use that device/unit, is the only vehicle that can use that particular device/unit. The manufacturer does not want people to share a device.
I think you can send it back to the manufacturer to release the VIN but it will probably cost just as much as a new one.
I just found this and it contradicts what I said....
Yes, you can change the Superchips Flashpaq F5 tuner to a different vehicle. For example, the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner - Ford - Gas/Diesel, part # SU1845, when programmed, is attached your vehicles VIN. In order to pair it to a different vehicle you have to return the current vehicle back to stock performance. Once that has been completed you can pair it with the new vehicle. If you no longer have access to the vehicle that is currently programmed to your device you need to contact Superchips directly. They can reset your unit, but you will have to pay for the reset. All you need is the serial number of the unit and be near a computer, the reset will be done remotely. This process will work for all Superchips tuners.

Yeah, its used, seemed to work, pulled my dakotas files, just plugged it into my PC again and it says "VIN Lock: Needs Update" Also said something about my vehicle not being calibrated or something, which i find strange as mine was produced 11-09 and the menu in the flashpaq said it supports 09 Dakotas. Kinda at a loss here atm. Ive heard so much good stuff about this tuner only to be disappointed in it lol. Tough idk if id need to buy the vin unlocker or what, ive sent an email to their support team to see if there is anything i can do.
