Dokata problems
I have a 2006 dodge dokata with a 4.7 I’m not sure if it is a coincidence or not but if I use a kill switch and shut off the battery for the truck I have multiple issues with the truck I feel like it has something to do with the brains has anybody else had multiple issues with their truck after their battery dies or they use a kill switch attached to the battery. I can explain more if anybody has any experience with anything close I don’t have issues after I get the codes to clear out. And refresh
thanks
thanks
it throws a transmission temperature error every time the battery dies or I use the battery disconnect. I also had a code throw this time for implausible fuel volume u1411 the transmission code wasp0218 transmission temperature high which throws every time the battery died or now when I used the battery disconnect I have a code c2202 for original vin mismatch/ missing c2206 vehicle configuration mismatch a u0100 lost communication with ECU/pcm I have a code for both the right and left low beam circuit high is also in current b1630/b162c and lastly b1a29 sentry key skim mismatch b1a2b ecm mismatch with sentry key mobilizer module. Is everything that threw just the other day. I’m currently wondering if for some reason the brains need replacing and if that would fix the issue because the truck isn’t saving memory with the computer when power is cut off
Every module likes to be able to talk to all the other ones. Disconnecting the battery resets EVERYTHING. None of the modules remember where they are, or what vehicle they are supposed to be in, so, a bunch of codes.....
My question would be, why are you disconnecting the battery anyway??

they do always go away afterwards.

Then you have your answer....... These are self-inflicted problems...... Maybe instead of totally disconnecting power altogether, your kill switch should cut power to the injectors, or coils, or both.....
