Just purchased TRX4 Dakota H.O.

Yeah it's the cats/y pipe connection that restricts the exhaust on our trucks (and the 4.7 motor)

Unfortunately, no one makes a replacement for it (the 4.7 motor in general)

The exhaust manifolds flow well as does the rest of the exhaust. The pinch/restrictor is the cats/y pipe that comes off the manifolds & then connects to the rest of the exhaust.

I thought you can get any high flow cat that fits the tubeing will work? Or is it not compatable with the on board computer?

no our trucks just have 2 cats, 1 at each manifold

You'd have to hack up (& reweld) the stock manifolds/y-pipe to use some high flow cats, and the high flow cats would have to be pretty small

Just take a peek underneath your truck or peek thru the front wheel well or look under the hood....you'll see what I'm talking about.
