No you don't have to use the Mopar stuff. Look in your owner's manual and head to Auto Zone.

Actually it is chemically IDENTICAL...You can actually buy the recommended stuff in some auto parts stores. Be sure to get it premixed as it has distilled water in it. Regular water will ruin your radiator. Look in your owners manual for the spec. Then do a quick internet search. You will find Dodge isn't the only place to find it. I ended up finding Prestone 5/150 Quick Fill. Turn the bottle over and see it meets ChryslerMS-7170 and MS-9769. Which is what Chrysler is looking for in thier vehicles.
I had a moron in a Econo-Lube shop fill my overflow tank w/ window washing fluid. Fortunately I cought him doing it. Apparently he could not see the VERY LARGE PICTURES ON EACH OF THE CAPS!!!!!!!!!!![:@]

nice, i would have flipped. Actually in the service manual it says not to mix mopar coolant with anything else or use additives etc etc. The usual stuff.

I know what it says. Trust me I read it a couple of times before I went shopping that night. I was out till midnight trying to find just the right one. Zerex G05 HOAT is pretty much what the factory uses. Other than the name change. The stuff I bought states it is accepted by Daimler Chrysler and is capable of mixing with the Zerex HOAT and Chrysler HOAT. Go to a parts house take a peek at what they have. Be sure to read them all.
