3.7L V6 redline?
I know this may seem stupid, but I have never dealt with the 3.7L V6 engine thats in my 06 dakota. The crazy thing is I have no idea where redline begins. The tach on the v6 actually has no redline on it, its just the white face guage all the way up till it peaks to 7000 rpm. I know that the V8 guys actually have a redline on there tach, but us V6 guys do not!
Whats the redline on the 3.7L V6 guys?

Yeah, no redline, what sense does that make? How much more would it add to the price of the truck to have a red strip say, from 5k to 7k? What, 2 cents? This was probably from the same Dodge morons who molded the horn activation button into the steering wheel.
Well, the engines hp is rated at 5200 rpms. Usually they rate the HP right near red line, get the most power up at the top of the rpm band. I can only assume its around 5000-5300rpms, like the majority of v6 engines.

This isn't necessarily true, HONDA engines give out the most power near redline, most well made V6's or V8's should give out their best hp numbers at about 1/2 - 2/3 full power. I can find specs of where the peak hp is if you REALLY want me to.
well i know its not good, but for fun i got mine up to 110 on the freeway (yay for flat straight AZ Tucson/phoenix route) and it bounced at ~5000 RPM, didnt really have a way of checking it exactly as eyes were on the road and the blond chick in the v6 mustang i was chasing
So I would say 5000 would be about as far as i would push it.
