i think im about to leave this forum because of all the doubters in the Street/Strip section...its getting rediculous....BS flags as far as the eye can see...

Actually he's mad because people called B.S on a couple of stories that were a bit hard to believe..one involving him...

Just because someone calls B.S. doesnt mean that you should get upset over it. If I said to you that a mini-van ran a 10 sec quarter mile, you'd call me crazy or want proof.....and thats really all that people want....

When you finally explained yourself, everyone had no problem believing you.....

They ARE! I use to have an SXT auto... mine was lke 0 - 60 in *delivery's here* time. Mine was kinda quick though.. I had some minor mods, and was getting 42mpg on the highway.

My first own car/truck was a new 1999 Club Cab Dakota Sport V-6 (2wd w/3.92 gears)......then I had a new 2000 Contour SVT for a brief 4 months (parents made me sell it back to the dealer--huge loss)......

Anyways....then I had a new 2001 Dodge Neon SE for a brief time (dad's 2nd company car) and that thing had a 3 speed automatic. Quick by no means, but it sure was fun to drive. On the freeway, drop it down to 2nd and it would move....lol

Then I had a 2001 Dakota Club Cab R/T after that & tons of other cars after that.....But boy I had some good & crazy times/memories in that Neon

 

Lol, mine was a 4 spd.

Going 55mph on the highway and need to pass, mash the pedal, it'd shift into 2nd at about 5800rpms, then into third, and hold it til I let off. Which usually was about 95mph.

I did 110mph in mine down backroads in Canada... namely hard packed gravel roads, I loved that thing, I had TOTAL control of it at all time. I wanted to see how fast I could go til it shut off, but I was coming to a 90 degree turn REALLY REALLY fast.. I was like, hrmmmm..... speed or brakes? And since I am telling this story, I picked brakes.

Yeah it was my dad's company car and I beat the crap out of it. I drove that thing ALL over Michigan!
Hopping rail road tracks....A LOT of speeding.......one crazy unforgettable drunken trip to Canada.

And like you said....the car was so easy to control....like in the winter....I could do awesome slides with the e-brake and still maintain control of the car. Like be fishtailing down the road with the back end out, but still going straight and keeping control.
Just was so easy to feel in control of it because it was so small I guess.

And I think 2001 was the last year for the 3 speed Auto because my sister got a 2002 after we turned that one in and it had a 4 speed automatic instead.
