UPDATE: It's at the dealer for an engine noise issue (see "startup noise"), they are going to look into the clunk too. Appears to be worst when going from reverse to park.

UPDATE: apparantly, according to Dodge, this is "normal" the fix is shifting a little slower, at least between drive and reverse so the trans can actually sense there is a "neutral gear" between those two. I will try shifting slower between reverse and park to see if it makes a difference. Lots of electronics involved as to why it klunks that I can not adequately describe

My dealer told me it was normal too and that all of the trucks on the lot made this noise.

I work in the parts department at my dealer and I can tell you that we are not programmed to say it is "NORMAL". But when every truck does it than that is normal. It may not be good but its normal untill DC finds a fix.

When they find a fix? Dose that mean that they will notify the owners that where told it is NORMAL and go away that to come back when we find a fix? Sorry but I don't see that happening.

If this noise being descibed is the one when the transmission is shifted into park from drive it is in my opinion indeed normal. My '05 does it, my '01 did it up through 100,000 miles when I traded it in on the '05. I never had an issue with that one and this one seems fine. If you crawl under you'll notice that there is no play either.
As for some of the others of you you might have another problem than I am describing.
