RE: 07 dakota
THERE'S NOT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN STOPPING POWER WHEN IT COMES TO THE DRUM VS DISK. MOST OF THE POWER FOR STOPPING IS THE FRONT BRAKES. I THINK THAT THE REAR DISK IS A GREAT LOOK FOR THE TRUCK THOUGH. I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT TRYING TO GET A CONVERSION KIT. TOO EXPENSIVE RIGHT NOW.

Lighter might be the Key Word there,With the rear drum problems some of us are having,I'm slapping aftermarket drums on as soon as they come out.I only got about 8k out of them after the dealer cut em,I don't think cutting more material from them is going to be a long term solution. My 03 Silverado had 4 wheel disc with antilock it would stop on a dime and give you change and they came standard on it,about the biggest plus that truck had going for it.

I found this before I bought my '06...

They actually have the specs for most '07s now. I did want the turn signals and fabric, but getting such a deal I couldn't wait...

My 04 ram had lots of truble with the rear Disk brakes. the right rear side had deep grooves with only 1500 miles on it. The the drivers rear did it to. Finally Dodge fixed it after I told them the steering wheel was vibrating when I hit the brakes. They said the front rotors were shot and replaced them. I made up the story to get the rear fixed. They were finally fixed after 11,000 .
