Does anyone have the 06 Dakota speaker specs (size, watts, range) w/o Infinity System.

I'm looking to replace my stock stuff.

PS - I love my Dakota.

 

The standard equipment speaker system includes speakers in four locations. One 16.5 centimeter (6.5 inch) diameter speaker is located in each front door. One 16.5 centimeter (6.5 inch) diameter speaker is located in each rear door on quad cab vehicles. One 16.5 centimeter (6.5 inch) diameter speaker is located in each C-pillar on club cab vehicles.

dont have any clue on wattage but its not much...the infinity system has total power of 268 watts. since you have no real amp, and they never make stock head units push much juice I'd say each speaker is around 75-100W peak 15-20rms

 

i switched all my stock speakers to the infiniti system. even though the stock radio doesnt push much they still sound nice

 

Check Crutchfield they'll tell you what fits in radio and speakers,Then go on eBay and you might find them cheaper.Crutchfiels is a little expensive most of the time, but if you buy a radio or speakers they give you everything you need for install including vehicle specific instuctions.

 

i have the basic 4 speaker setup... i notice that most of the volume is coming from the 2 front speakers.. and barely nothing from the back speakers..

i know stock head units dont push out much power(i think these have around 60watts).. but just wondering.

is it just my truck or is everyone's like this?

 

I have the factory am,fm,cd player with 4 speakers by pushing the right **** brings up bass,trebble,balance and fade,it seems to work on mine.

 

related question where are the additional speakers for the upgraded audio option in an 06 Quad Cab? I seem to remember it being a 6 speaker set up?

 

The extra two speakers came with the infinity option and are located in the A pillars.

 

So is replacing the speakers pretty much plug-n-play on the Dak or am I going to have to end up cutting speaker brackets and that mess?

 

The stock speakers are the worst spearkers i have ever hear. i put some kenwood excelons in mine and made a huge difference!!
