You all have no idea just how many serious problems people are having with this line of trucks.
If there are so many problems, where are all the people having problems? Ive seen two or three people on here that seem very unhappy with their Daks. The majority of Dak owners on here seem to be very satisfied with their Daks.

It’s a fact that the Dakota was raped of amenities beginning with the Gen3s but that OK.
Most of these amenities that were raped from the Dakota, you should have noticed on the test drive. If not the test drive definently when you rented a Dakota before you bought one.

As long as your trucks are clean and shiny and they can, light up the tires all is good with the world.
Why should everyone here be upset that you bought a lemon? My truck runs great and I am extremely happy with it. So all IS good with the world. I wish you the best in resolving your problems with your truck, but dont hate people that are happy with theirs and try to tell them their trucks suck when they dont have any problems.

I don't need to think about it.
Have a nice life, Later

This like fantasyland here. You all lost site with product and service integrity. Anyway I'm not aloud to say anything here b/c I might offend you all by stirring up the fairy dust.

I am new here and I don't want to make alot of people mad. I don't no the whole story but it seems to me the reason these forums are of any use is because of the wide range of ideas and opinions. If the only info that was posted here was how good everyones DC was, What would be the point. I personally like to hear about the problems others are having so I can be on the look out. I purchased my first dodge two weeks ago and have found alot of info on this forum about my brake shuttering problem, and engine stall at low speeds issue, that the dealer would have probably told me was normal. If this is a highly censored forum someone please let me know so I can get some honest info from another source, but from what I can tell most here speak their mind and should continue doing so. Just my opinion...

Look I know I’m bitter and I do make my point mostly because I can’t believe how consumer products especially large ticket items like a trucks have become so shortchanged. Maybe it’s the sign of the times. Even if you could look past shortchanged issues than there is design and funchionability issues, some that are safety related. Add the insult of how the dealer treat you when you need them the most and yes integrity of product and service is highly compromised. There are a few other Dak Gen3 forums that do have quit a few owners who are dealing with the reality of questioned product integrity and certainly the support of service. The shaking, the brakes, stalling, clacking engine noise, water leaks, paint problems, door alignments, transfer case issues and on and on. This is not a purchase of a refrigerator it’s a truck and it has to do allot of things besides look nice. It has to transport my family and get us to work and so on with as little issues as possible.

Update:

About 6 hours since I did the Hot damp towel method. The stains are gone and the color returned to normal. All is well.
So it seems until the next rain :-).

I called an auto detailer and he said to help with the stains do this:

wipe down the seats with a damp towel, get the seats damp, and then apply Scotch-guard while the seat are damp. This should help with our staining problem

Nobody has a problem about people discussing their issues with their Daks. Its when certain members go into every topic and just bitch about how big of a POS the Dakotas are. Its one thing to discuss the issues and what fixes there might be but it gets old being told that our trucks suck. This site isnt highly censored, theres just been a lot of bitching and whining going on the last few weeks and people are finally getting tired of hearing how stupid we all are for not hating our trucks.

Personally, I pretty much agree with you. However, there is a point to where you need to stop complaining. I totally agree, I would hate it if I went out and bought a truck, or anything, paid $26K for it, and I just had problem after problem after problem that the dealer said "was normal."
I may only be 19, but there is one thing I know very well, complaining gets you no where. Yes, everyone has the right to complain sometimes, however, complaining doesn't solve the problem.
One thing some people have to remember: just like with any product, no matter how expensive or cheap, for whatever reason, there are "lemons." These trucks are made day in and day out from the same metal, the same people, from the same products, but a few do have problems that 99% of the rest of them do not have. As unfortunate as this is, it's actually quite normal. You just have to cringe your teeth and deal with it. Lucky for vehicles, you can try to default to the lemon law (how it works, I don't know).
I mean, actually, we eoncourage people to come here for creative talk. If you have a problem with your truck, come on in and post. If you find a solution to a problem, post it, other people will really appreciate it.

Your right on dude these dodges are going to have problems guaranteed. Hopefully its just simple items like stains on seats and oversprayed paint. Funny i wont buy a used dak even the new one with 115miles shimmied a little which could be just from test drivers slamming the rig over railroad tracks and the like. So im still interested in a inexpensive new 2wd,v6 rig. If you paid 26 grand for yours u might want to trade in for tacoma or tundra and hope they give you top dolla.
