I've made a bit of a transition from my first two cars. (I've been driving since 1995):

1986 Olds Cutlass Ciera (2.8 L V6)
1993 Olds Eighty-Eight (3.8 L V6)
2005 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab (4.7 L V8)

I finally was able to give up the grandma-mobiles and get a truck! I hope the Dak can get as many miles as I did on the Oldsmobiles!

first car was a 1979 buick regal, next was a fully restored 72 chevelle, fully restored 70 monte carlo, fully restored 1970 ss chevelle which i sold to put a down payment on the house.in the mean time i still drove the regal. bought a ford escort for a winter beater. had a sweet bad *** buick grand national 1987. traded it in for my 97 full size ram than bought my new 05 dak. currently restoring a 1966/67 cheby nova. sorry guys but cheby has some sweet muscle cars.

 

1982 Firebird, first year of the F-body style, with a....2.5L Four Cylinder. What a pig, but it went through hell and came back out the other side. The fuel pump finally stopped it at 138,000 miles because my father didn't want to spend the money to drop the rear axle and tank to replace it...I loved that car.

1987 Escort Pony, cost $4800 brand new. Took the same path through hell...three wrecks and four clutches. I towed a Yamaha Jet-ski during summer and took it completely loaded skiing during winter. It finally gave up the ghost on the side of a Tercel that failed to yield the right of way.

1988 Escort GL, the motor from the Pony was put in and it ran great for a couple of years.

1994 Geo Tracker it replaced the GL, two tone faded paint, full stereo, hopped up and looked great. Oddly enough, I'd had it one week and the same woman in the same Tercel that killed my Pony pulled out in front of me and I almost T-boned her again. It still runs great with a 195,000 miles on it and is sitting beside the house right now.

2006 Quad cab Dakota.....I hope it stays together, I love this truck!!
