Your telling us that the 05-06 dakota doesn't have coil(spring) over shock front suspension?

That's weird.. the 2WD and 4WD Dak's for 05+ have the exact same suspension. From EVERY source I have read or heard from.

I will bet your next paycheck against mine that the 05-06 4wd Dakotas have coil springs on the front suspension!!

Well, I have finished installing the leveling kit, the pics I have are kind of crappy, so be warned. Took me 2 and half hours to complete the install this time around. On my first 5 mile drive afterwards, the front suspension soes feel different, somewhat better, or more to my liking. Although it could just be my expectations after the install. Time will tell.

pretty sure my 05 Dak 4wd has front springs......either than or something is really bent up in the front end suspension area......kinda like a spring.................go figure

from http://www.automotive.com review of the Dakota 2005

Underneath, there is a completely new frame shared in part with the Durango SUV, a frame that is eight times as strong in twist resistance and twice as strong in bending resistance as the old frame, introduced in 1997. A new coil-over-shock independent front suspension is used on both two- and four-wheel-drive models, with conventional leaf springs at the rear. All models come with front and rear tow hooks and tie-downs in the bed.
