ya but then i would have them repowdercoated now that i know they can powdercoat metallic colors, bc i would have them powdercoated to match my trucks paint

trucky, not defieing anyone, just posting my opinion.... I like mine and posted as such. This topic can vary with anyones opinion. I respect all of yours, please respect mine. I like the nerf bars and like how they look, Also have a son and my MIL is handicaped, this can help her into the truck.

I'm putting a pair of black powder coated Truck Tec nerfs on mine tomorrow. I just wondered if any of you who have them did the install yourself and if so what are the torque specs for the body mount bolts that you use to bolt them up?

Im lookin at gettin some black raptor nerf bars, there is a retailer on ebay that sells em for about 160 with free shipping. Anyone have any particular opinions between the various brands? Raptor seems reputable enough.

And as for my input on this thread specifically, I dont need the bars to get in, but since I go snowboarding very often during the winter they come in handy to rest boots on, kick snow off, and various other uses. It isnt always about getting into the truck
