Fog Light/High Beams
If they did the wiring like the last dakotas, all you really need is to jump a small wire from the trigger at the light switch to the hot. Already has a relay inline. Not sure how the new ones are wired though. I have the fix for 97-04 dakotas save in a notepad file.
are the Dakota's wired diferently than the Rams? we have some pics of a jumper between 2 relays. 1 thing i didnt like was that when you turned on your Parking Lights ONLY. the FOG's came on. but stayed on through all 3 settings ( Park-Lowbeam-Hi Beam )
All you need to do is jumper a wire between the high beam on wire ( need to find out which wire turns HOT when you hit the high beam switch) and wire that into the wire that turns OFF when the low beams go off. This way all youre doing is turning on the fog lights again when you hit the high beam switch.
basically your lights work as follows
parking lights
low beam headlights
fog lights on
then
parking lights
High beam
fog lights off
when the low beams are on the relay for the fog relay gets the ground circuit completion from the low beam circuit by turning on the relay. . By adding the jumper wire from the high beam trigger/turn on wire all youre doing is basically turning the fog lights on again with the high beam switch. The other way you can do it is by rewiring the low side of the relay to go off the parking lights this the low beam or high beam switch wont even matter. If I had the schematics i could tell you what to cut solder change or remove but I dont have a 05

I'm the kind of nutjob where If I wanted my fogs to be on with my high beams I'd just splice a secondary wire from my fog lights to the circuit for my high beams...or, just split the fog lights wire to a circuit that would always be on regardless of my low or high beams being on, but would turn off when the lights are off..get what im saying?
