Default Fog Light/High Beams

Is there a way to program the factory fogs to stay on when the high beams are switched on?

its doable but you havta be an electrician to pull it off.
anyways you dont want to do that because its too much strain. i know its easier to see and we've all been driving while holding the switch back so all 4 lights are going with brights...but it's better to just leave it alone

And it's illegal.

Thought I'd throw that out there.

That varies state to state.

Relays are your friend.

we used to do that to the turbo coupes, all you need are relays and knowlage of wireing. And like previosly stated the law varies state to state

the electrical system cant hold the voltage with out burning up. thats why they click of whiling going from low to high. if you disable the system and hard wire the fogs to a seperate energy source it will be ok. also i have the h13 factory bulbs. everytime i come up on someone they always flash their lights saying my high beams are on. but when i click them on they get blinded. are you sure your lights dont need to be adjusted? when i lowered my truck to make it sit even i needed to do that. every time i put my high beams on i was looking at the tree tops. a simple ckeck is to draw a line on a wall about 3 feet from the ground and see were your lights hit. they may need to be adjusted

that is why you use a relay, so you dont overload the system. the relay senses that you turned the highs on and takes power from the battery to run them instead of pulling power though the switch. we used to do it that way on the t-birds because it would burn up the switch

my buddy had a mustang gt he did that too. only for night time racing. he would come off the line and jerk the wheel towards the other guy and he would back off cause all he saw was lights going towards him. i guess he was afraid to crash his car. but bill won alot of street racing that way.
