Merry Cristmas to me, and everyone else too
Got an unexpected bonus from my work, sooo had to spend it on something
Ordered a gibson catback 3" stainless exhaust, an air raid 1" throttle body spacer, and an AEM brute force air intake for my 06 HO quadcab. Hoping this stuff will noticably improve power and mileage too[sm=smiley25.gif][sm=tongue.gif]. What do you guys think, good idea, or just a fool & his $ quickly parted?[sm=lol.gif]

Sounds great except the throttle body spacer,it seems the general thought on them on fuel injected engines is they don't work, the rest sounds great, you must of been a good boy, Santa was pretty generous,Merry Christmas to you and the rest of you on the forum.
Hey thanks for the input, appreciate it! Maybe I'll just take the spacer back. If I think I can install it without scratching it or anything I might try it, summit would still let me take it back, they're really good about returns
And I forgot too-Merry Christmas to everyone![sm=smiley20.gif]

First, Merry Christmas to all fellow members and families. Secondly, my two cents about TB spacers: as mentioned, absolutely, positively worthless. Dakoduh should have asked the forum for advice. That's what we are here for. Don't install.Send the spacer back to Summit and order a modified throttle body from The Fastman, Dan Arcand. I did, money well spent. Check out www.thefastman.com.
so everyone feels that strongly that the spacers don't do anything?[:'(] Sounds like I definitely should return it then.
I'll probably take the $ saved & put it towards the throttle body, it's not a whole lot more $ either
Thanks again for the input you guys[sm=thanx.gif] The intake & exhaust I'm thinking should be a good puchase right? And thanks for the throttle body link-did it hurt your fuel mileage any?

Didn't affect mpg one way or another but definitely got better throttle response. Dan "the fastman" is a good guy to deal with and you WILL be happy with the results. The intake and exhaust mods are a must. "Git r' done".
