I had kind of narrowed it down to Flowmaster and Gibson before making this post. Gibson claims 15-20hp. I'm not sure what the gain on the Flowmaster is. The plus to me about the Gibson is I can get it in stainless whereas the Flowmaster is only aluminized.

I have a good exhaust guy locally who can do something for me, but I also like the idea of bolting something on. My local guy is going to do the exhaust on my 1990 Dakota, you can't buy cat back stuff for those any more, at least anything decent.

Yeah Gibson being available in Stainless is a plus, BUT you gotta pay some extra $$$ for the stainless

And I highly highly highly doubt you're gonna see a 15-20hp gain with the Gibson system

Realistically......probably only 5-10hp to the rear wheels.

I'm personally leaning towards the Flowmaster though because the price is right & the sound is awesome!

Decisions, decisions. I also would like to get a tonneau cover at the same time, place one order with Summit and get both items. Sounds like either Gibson or Flowmaster is a good option.

Go elsewhere for the tonneau

Looking for a soft tonneau cover. Truxedo and Lund are the two brands I'm looking at.

My Truxedo soft cover is already starting to come apart at the corners. I bought it as soon as I got my '05 because it was the only one available and it's been on and garaged for less than 2 years.

I put on my Access Roll Up tonneau 2 years ago next month. Looks as good as the day I put it on and is always outside. No sign of wear whatsoever.Wife uses the garage because the truck doesn't quite fit.
