I wish you luck. Let us know how it turns out. I wouldn't use PVC either. Something about it just doesn't seem like it would work right.

Hmmm....well I wasn't hating on your DIY idea.....I just didn't like the PVC idea.

If it works, great....but aesthetically it looks bad (PVC)

Concerning your new intake idea.....exhaust pipe might be a little heavy to use, but if that's all you can find....okay then. Doesn't sound like your half-assing it and you're putting a lot of thought into it.

Good luck and can't wait to see it!

Hrmm, how'd I miss this thread!?

Best of luck man! If it works, get it dyno'd both with the stock airbox and the new intake system on there...

Same day, one after another, you know the drill.. I wanna see how this actually works for you. If not that well, think, you only spent say what, 65 dollars tops for this mod?

LOL....awesome idea Frenchy

SO....the money he saved by making it himself, should instead be spent on a dyno run to see if it actually worked

Then after spending all this money, he could've had a K&N intake which is already dyno proven.....hmmmmm

It would be nice to know the results, but I don't know if it's worth the $80-100 to know.

I bought a k&n for my 3.7 off ebay for $70.00. When they shiped it they sent me one for the 3.9. I had to send it back and have the hole for the ATC sensor put on the opposite side. When i finally got it on though i had nothing but good things. Improved milage, Throttle response you know the usual. The thing i liked most was the nice chrome pipe under my hood for under 100.
