DIESEL!!!!!

I think what I may do is this, look into EXACTLY what they did to get that extra power from the 4.7L, and do those mods to mine... from the sounds of it, it just looks like they just free'd up a lot of dead horsepower. I'm sure with the same top end from the NEW 4.7L on our engines, we could get the same power.

The Gen 2 was the best looking so far and the interiors where just warm and fuzzy, car like. The new style Gen3 and 1/2 is nice also just a more in your face sort of way. The 08 is a bit to car looking in the front end for me. It lost its truck look and is in bed with the Nitro. The 4.7 improvement was a must! Just think 290HP on regular and E gas. I'll wait three years before my next purchase of anything though.

I don't think there will be much you can scam from teh '08 4.7 to put into an older one... if you read the tech info on the web, it sounds like the whole top end and some internals are new, and going to the dual-spark ignition I'm sure would need a new computer, wiring, etc. As much as I'd love that mod, I think it'll be way to much $$$ for the benefit!

That being said, the console would probably bolt on- assuming it's really an upgrade.
