I like these trucks, but I like the 3valve per cylinder, 290HP, 320TQ version of the v8s.. I wonder what they did differently.

It's about time they start to power up the 4.7L. I think it's too underpowered as it is. I'm sure that won't be the standard 4.7 either.

If the current Dak. style is only 2 1/2 model years old it isgoing to make it real difficult to get 3rd. party parts for it. It’s already hard to find items for the Gen3 as it is now. The Gen2s where pretty much the same for eight years and there is a ton of after market goodies for them but the current Gen3 is being changed already, what does that tell you. They are going in the right direction but it may leave the current style out in the cold and it really never took hold as far as marketing goes. They had to change for survival of the model. Strange but I like the Gen3 current grill better. The new bumper is so much nicer though. By the way notice that it was mentioned that the valve lash adjuster where redesigned. That was the problem that made the clacking noise in so many 4.7s. They won’t admit a problem by they emphasize the fact that the lash adjuster have been redesigned in the new 4.7 Humm.
