I just called up the guy who installed my Flowmaster 40 muffler, to get an estimate on converting my truck to a true dual exhaust. He told me that it was illegal to take a vehicle that comes stock where the heads come into a single pipe, cut the Y off and make them two separate pipes. Sooooo I can't make my truck a true dual
So, I am assuming it is because of the lack of a cat that he said that... to meet emissions you would have to have a cat on both pipes... are you going to get an o2 simulator or have him weld in a bung for the o2 sensor?
