Why isn't it anyone's business if he'sbragging upsuch great times? That just doesn't make sense at all.

I also would like to see slips. Not so much because I'm calling him a liar, I just want to see what kind of 60's and mph a 14.2 second 4900 lb dakota is putting out.

When I broke the SOHC neonall motor record I had slips on hand because I know there would be interested parties that would want to see 'em. If your going to brag it up, back it up!

FYI- It takes 355 HP crankto get a 4900 lb vehicle to achieve a 14.2 in the 1/4 mile. This is 120 hp over stock. Is there 100 shot involved thatwe missed? [&:]

That's his business. I want to see what he has too, but I don't want to see what he has cuz I don't believe him. ONce I get my stuff in, I'm going to try and get my dyno done too.

My point is is that people on this site are way too bored and way too worried about other people. I'm surprised that nobody called me out and said they want to see my timeslip for my 16.9. That's how pissy people are beginning to be. That's just my opinion.

Well for one, I believe him, but like I think Amanda said in one of her Moderator section topics, people don't call people out, when the numbers seem believeable.. like, if I said my stock Neon SXT I had a few years ran 17.5 people would believe me, HOWEVER, if I said it ran like a 14.9 people would call BS, and ask for proof.

Again, I believe him, I want to see the dyno graphs at least. See how the curves look and everything, I've always been a fan of dyno sheets.

Your opinion is flawed. Nobody is going to call you out to see a 16.9 pass because these kind of times are remotly believable, unlike a low 14. I guess I'm just used to forums where people back up what they say and don't make up 1/4 times.

That was an example, not an opinion. I'm hoping that you catch what I'm saying. Nothing more, nothing less. My opinion came just before that, and after that.

why is it so hard to believe. you run 15.88 with a 4x4, with an exhaust, rear end gears and intake. I know for a fact that cams lowered my mustangs runs by over a second...

BTW my software projection has a 4700lb vehicle needing 250 at the wheels and 269 tq... to run 14 flat.

ratt racing and performance... "bench racing" software.

Hp, is nothing with out tq. 1000hp is nothing if it only has 50 lb/ft of tq.
Cams don't drop a full second. Period. Maybe cams/roller rockers/intake, but that's still pushing it. That's basically saying cams gave you 100 HP.
Also HP is a function of Torque, power is power. 355 hp @ the crank isa rough number of whatit takes to move a3rd gen dakotathrough the 1/4 in 14.2 seconds. Point being a 4.7 with stock gearing a jet chip that probably is only making the truck run rich, and cams WILL NOT give the 4.7 an extra 120 HP at the flywheel. This is plain and simple common sense. You can tell who on this site actually hits the track and who does not.

First off, I am not taking sides. I would, however, like to see the slip. Also, why superdak05, did you opt for the 70mm throttle body over the recommended 68.5mm? The reason I ask is because in the editorial done by "Fastman" he states that the 68.5 would be more than suffecient to handle a blower. I would like to hear some opinions.
