Point being a 4.7 with stock gearing a jet chip that probably is only making the truck run rich,
Just so you know, and I'm not trying to start anything, and it's really not that big of a deal, but the Jet Chip, according to the speed shop I took my truck to, to have a dyno done on it, said that the air/fuel mix was perfect. Just so you'd know that it doesn't make it run rich or anything.

I do agree that the cams aren't going to drop a second of the time, but it will make it drop considerably, maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 second off of it. Depending on the cams and other mods of course.

Perfect a/f ratios are good.
Did they happen to look at a stock one? I'd be really impressed if JET actually stepped away from their old ways and we actually made a few hp from their chips. Did you happen to do a before/after run on the dyno with that chip?

dont get mad because people use actual software and bench race to check your "theory" there is more done than a chip and cams. I am saying, you have gears and exhaust. he has more performance mods than you. it is "logical, or common sense" to assume he runs faster.
you dont know what cams will do, you have not done them. you dont know what he has done. So how do you know what he will run? for you to call someone out without even doing the research and just to rely on your knowledge of motors is plain mean. I am not saying his runs are what they are, I dont care what he runs to tell you the truth. But for you to say it isn't possible without doing the appropriate research is what got to me. its the principal of the thing.

you say your not calling him a liar, so what are you saying?
#1- I was using software.

#2- Its not theory, its called physics.

He's basically plus a jet chip and cams. But he's minus gears, electric fan, weight redux and power wireon my identical body style. Please explain where the huge gap in ET makes sense. That's all I want to know.

Too add to the original meaning of the post...my TB is also on the way, I will post true 1/4 mile gains of the TB. I went with the 68.5.

...If someone has a 70mm they'd like toloan out,I can run them both one right after another. Would be cool to see a difference. It's quite possible the 70 might perform better.

Also, I'm having a custom aluminum UDP getting fabricated for our 4.7's after my cadillac is back on the road. Scott Stevens is an awesome local fabricator who has built me anything I could imagine. He has built custom aluminum pullies and driveshaft for his 9 second all motor Mustang, and he said our pulley would be no prob.
I told him to do 25% underdriven, but aluminum pulleyinstead steel like the other pulley available. Once its perfected and on the truck, I'll show you guys my findings on gains at the track. (or atleast gtech pro- I like how these new ones graph out your entire run and they are .02-.06 within' my track timeslip )

No I didn't. I had installed it long before I did the dyno. I only had thirty dollars for the dyno, since they were doing their $30 = 3 shots on the dyno. I was happy.

That's the best deal I've ever seen for dyno pulls, where was this at??
