just installed throttle body
just finished installing my tb. idle is great and no problems to report. going for a test drive. should be back with in the hour and i will let you people know the out come
well, i am back from test drive and i was impressed. so impressed i have the lump on the side of my head to prove it. making a left turn i decided to juice it. back end broke loose all over the place and when the truck finally hook, it jerk my head against the seat belt holder that hangs from the roof.in side the cab. but it was worth the money and the 1/2 hour of install.260.00 with an 80.00 core charge. so for 180.00 i got more power . and i dont care what people say. this mod is worth the money and who pays over dans price is ridiculous,
So, what you're saying that if anyone pays over the $180.00 for the TB is an idiot.... Good point. Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to getting mine now.
When are you going to get it dyno'd?

i am suppose to be going this sat the 17th but i have not heard back from the shop yet. if i cant do it sat then i am going to wait until spring which is about 6 more weeks. and yes for those who paid well over 400.00 should havw went with the fastman. just looking down the neck is a big difference.
What did you do, the PCM trick with the ignition? Do you think that's why you had good idle right after install? I would guess why that other had problems after his install. Glad the larger TB worked for ya.
yes i did. right in dans directions it tells you how to reset the pcm. and it still will take awhile for it to fully realize the bigger size.but dans direction for the install was perfect.
Great, now I'm all excited about getting mine on...it didn't show up today...hopefully Monday.
Agree on how much time it takes for the pcm to adjust to modifications, might be part of the whole ngc software, or it just takes a long time forlong term fuel trim to adjust, but it does take a good few days to realize full benefit of your breathingmodifications. Ofcourse stuff like gears and electric fan were instant.
That thing should be in the 13's now, hey? [sm=grinangel.gif]

haha 13's. way to not start "S" with the angel. lol
Glad to hear you didnt have any problems after install... I have been looking into a T.B. but all the negative threads on various forums kinda turned me off. so good to see a positive install note.
