The guy I talked to said that the factory tint is between the 20% and 35% that they offered (obviously closer to the 20%). Anything darker than 20% is too dark IMO. I would double check the percentages before you put on something that is either too dark or not dark enough.

With the 20% I was happy with what I was able to see in my side mirrors while driving home tonight. It really knocked down the glare that that I normally get from my side mirrors. Years of computer work has screwed my eyes.

 

A guy I worked with had that same theory, then they busted his window anyway to see what he had hidden back there.

I had my front windows tinted to 35%... they were dark-ish, but they weren't dark enough. Also, the "professional" tint guy that did it, left a gap at the top of the window, and there were bubbles in there, as well as wrinkles... oh was I pissed. It cost me more money to go have him fix them, than to just tear it off myself and deal with it.

 

when I got the 99 tinted, it came with a 1 year warranty. but I've had the tint on it for 2 years and no problems yet.

 

what percent did you use, it looks like rears are a tad bit darker
