Check out this website
www.spectreperformance.com It's not so much for the performance, but for the site. This is the best site I've ever seen in my life, and I've been to a lot of websites.
That's it???? only $100 per hour??? They use to charge a whole lot more than that in the late 1990's early 2000. I'll have to keep him in mind if I ever need a web site made.

yeah, he started his own web design thing right out of college... I send alot of my business clients his way when they ask me about web pages. I can do it, but he rocks at it... and he knows tricks that I dont.
I went for networking, he went into programming and multimedia...
We were both thinking about starting our own fulltime businesses, his took off, and I couldn't get out of my job. I am ready to leave, but I am a little afraid of trying it on my own with a 4 yr old and a new bun in the oven... I make ok money, but only when we are jammin. when its slow, I starve.

Here's an easy fix: if you've got a clean criminal record, great health history, and you're in good shape, you should consider the National Guard. You could become an officer with your B.S. Start off as a Specialist, go to basic and AIT, go into the computer portion and come out with at least 15 to 20k bonus, plus get some of your schooling paid off, etc, etc. The nice thing is you only do the Guard one weekend a month, two weeks out of the year for annual training. Pretty simple stuff and you get a couple of extra hundred a month. ONce you go officer candidate school, and make about $400 extra a month. This way you can get through the slower months, and have some extra money for the truck.

yeah, I thought about the guard, but I lost a good friend how went into the guard. they shipped our local guard guys off... not quite ready to take that step. if I was single I would be all about it. I still wish I would have went into the service when I was in highschool... Kinda got myself into the making babies thing a little early...
as far as paying off the school thing... it would be nice, but my parents are taking care of it for me. that was the deal they made when they got a divorce. my dad raises us, my moms pays for school... she got teh better deal. married a dude who owns 2 nightclubs and a bar in Tampa FL area. not to mention all teh property he buys and sells... lol

The good thing about what you do is you could any job in the 25 series (computer related). The chances of you going into a combat zone is slimmer than, say like a trucker.
Just remember, you could die going to the bathroom or crossing the street. That's how I look at it. People make the military sound like it's a death trap. I've been in for 14 years and I still haven't been called up. Must have been in the right place at the wrong time, if you want to look at it that way. I hear of more people getting killed in Portland on a daily basis than I do soldiers in combat. It's just timing and placement.
I'm sorry about your friend though. Did he by chance get protestors at his funeral? There's a crazy church group that protests every soldier that's laid to rest in Oregon. They're a bunch of a holes. Luckily, one of the biker chapters around here rides with the casket and will put an end to any protesting.
