When I called JET asking them about transmission shift points and shift firmness, they said the JET chip does not touch the shifting. Throttle position, engine speed and vehicle speed determine shift characteristics. The computer probably learned during the first 1/4 mile pass and adjusted shifting.

yeah, I figure my main reason for teh decent jump in hp was the 'stat... my engine runs at just above the quarter line now, when it used to sit at half way. My next thing will be a flowmaster setup... not sure if I want to run true duals, or dual it after the cat though... the only thing I am thinking with true duals and mufflers is it might be too loud. I dont care, but I amsure my neighbors and wife would be a little upset.

What is the price diff on I VS. II(average) do you need some more mods for the stage II to proform better?

I think you should do a 'stat with either one... I talked to my brother in alabama today, and he said that one of his employees only got like 10hp out of his stage 1 chip. (it was a 2003 dak v8 CC though) I cant say it was the stat, but it had to of helped.
