Default Jet Chip Questions

Does the R/T or the HO's use the same chip as the regular v8 dakotas?
they sell ones that say R/T only but what could the difference be? timing? air to fuel?
the reason i ask is my bro has a regulat dakota with a stage 2 and he has a stage 1 laying around. if it would work id be able to save a few bucks
thanks
jake

i went there and i called them up. they said they the timing was different and the air to fuel ration was
but what i wonder is. at summit racing they do not advertise the HO . just either the regular or the R/T
what would someone do if they did have the HO and not R/T
also, is the chip change noticeable in throttle response?

the ho motor and rt motor are the same. the rt is only a package. like better rims and wheels and a sticker package. they both are 260 horse 4.7. so if you have and ho in a regular truck and a ho in a rt truck they are the same. i was surprised at how well my truck responded to the stage 2. it reaslly woke up the truck

i know its only a sticker package but you're missing what im asking.
i asked. being the Ho motor isnt the same as the regular v8. why isnt there a HO chip and also a regular chip? all summit has is RT only and also just Dodge dakota v8
do u see what i mean? the RT has the HO which is the same as any other HO. does this mean that ppl are getting the wrong chip for their HO. they are getting the regular v8 chip and not the HO one

I believeits been established that any HO motor should use the RT-labeled stage Jetchips.

jet says the ho/rt use part number 90403s. and my stage 2 for the regular dak is 90402s. now if you purchase the stage 1 they are just the part number with out the letters.

Should have asked which one had the more aggressive timing. I'd go for that one. That chip can only do so much compared to a flash anyway.
