Default Mirror Swap Pictures!

For anyone that cares or wants to see......I swapped from the Tow Package (6x9" mirrors) to the smaller 5x7" mirrors. I think they look better, and I sort of did it for fuel economy thinking that the smaller, sleeker mirrors would probably help.

As for visibility and what not......can't tell you because I haven't driven the truck in over 5 weeks now or after I swapped the mirrors....it's just been sitting parked in the parent's driveway since I'm driving the Redline again.

Oh yeah and those that heard my story about losing the Redline before....well I got it back because me & my g/f got back together & we're actually engaged. I proposed on Valentine's Day....so yeah....

Just noticed that the truck looks AMAZINGLY REALLY clean.....considering the fact that I NEVER EVER EVER washed it this past winter.....hasn't been washed since October or November!!!!!!

Lucky man, my truck gets dirty after about 20 minutes on the highway. But, I like the new mirrors.

Only downfall is no tilting or turning of them like the others could.. oh well.

snobrdrdan, what did you do with the old mirrors??? I really like those and would like to swap mine out for the flip down ones. Also, how difficult is the swap??

Mirrors are easy to remove. Remove door panel. There should be 3 nuts holding the mirrors on from the inside. You'll see the nuts once the door panel comes off. Very easy and no adhesive to deal with.

Looks good. What id like to know, and i know this is off topic..is what the part # is for the chrome strip on the bumper. My truck doesnt have that, just an unpainted bumper, and I really want it.

looks good. how did you deal with the 6"x9"s being heated...are the 5"x7" mirrors heated too or is that disconnected now?

i'm envious of the clean truck. mine hasn't been clean for more than 10 minutes all winter (or so it seems). it's supposed to rain saturday...after that i'm getting it washed...maybe it'll even stay clean for a few days.
