Tax on a lease is paid MONTHLY as part of the payment. If you are leasing, you are paying tax.

Just saying.

At least that's how it works here in Indiana.

Paid $34,100 after discount and rebate.

sort of correct. you have options. pay the tax up front. or roll it into your payments. then there's the third option. Don't pay any.... I didn't. my trade value was more than the sale price of the Durango, so i was exempt because in NJ you don't pay a "sales tax" twice. if that makes any sense.

Paid around $33,000 after EPP and incentives (before TTL).

MSRP for my R/T was a little over 43k, with rebate and discount I got mine for about 32k. AWD, parking assist, sunroof, NAV, DVD. Pretty much everything I wanted except towing package. Everything I've read said I should have gotten a 2k rebate, but my paperwork had 3k on it, and I didn't argue. I've only had it about a month, but am happy with it so far.

Any opinions on this deal:

2012 AWD citadel with a hemi and tow package (MSRP $46635) for $42499? Is that decent?

BTW, just registered on the forum today. Its such a great source of information and definitely been of help in car shopping!
