Default Rattle

My wife and I purchased a Citadel roughly 3 months ago and absolutely love the vehicle. After about a month of ownership we noticed a rattle that we though was coming form the dash but it turned out to be the cover that surrounds the rearview mirror. We took it to the dealership and they said it was repaired but a month later the rattle is back due to a loose cover. Has anyone else with a Citadel (not sure about other models) experienced this issue and have you been able to get it repaired? Just looking at the cover if it would have been manufactured another 1/2 inch longer where it would rest against the headliner I don;t think it would rattle.

side topic, since you have had the cover on and off... why is it (the rear view mirror cover) nearly 4" thick?

Yep, got mine repaired. The mechanic said he put some foam tape in to keep it from coming back.

Who did the repair? independent mechanic or dealership?

I believe it contains the headlight high beam sensor. I've since turned that feature off. While in theory it's a great idea, it is way too sensitive. Every time my lights reflected off a road sign, the high beams would go off.

Thanks. So in theory, you can drive around with bright lights on and they auto dim to not blind on coming traffic?

Do the fogs stay on when the brights are on? On our Gen1s they do not without some aftermarket trickery.

Correct on both accounts.

But with the brights feature you also can't flash someone who's got their brights on you.
