noisy rear shocks 2wd Citadel
I bought a new Citadel and after the first week noticed noise coming from the left rear. The noise got worse and I went to the dealer's service department. They had a service notice about some issues and took 3 days to reattach a rubber part using a "special" sealant and grease. The problem was not solved.
Next the dealer reluctantly replaced the shock and the problem was fixed.
Now, after 10K miles, the other rear shock has started making noise and I assume it is now bad. Has anyone else had this problem?

Off the topic so to speak, do you find your Citadel is very noisy when putting it in gear. I find mine has a loud clicking noise when I put it in gear and also when driving, just wondering if anyone else has this going on underneath.
I am starting to hear this in my AWD Crew at 7k. It hasn't been terrible and I can't be sure it's the shocks since I always have my towing gear in the back. Think the shocks are the same?
There are rubber mounts that will wear out, my wife's G6 has the same noise in the front at 50k, and my dad's Jeep GC at 130k... Shame that it's happening so quickly on the Durangos.

Chrysler doesn't make shocks so the vendor there obviously dropped the ball.
If it persists, they will loose their contract and be replaced by another vendor.

Hallo, I have a 2011 Durango crew an they have replaced my shocks three times already. First time it was back in February 2014 when the car was still under warranty. Second time it was in November 2014 after 3000 miles and the car wasn't under warranty but they did the shocks with no problem. Third time it was in May 2015 I didn't even do 3000 miles. I took the car to the dealer and the said they cannot replace the shocks because the car isn't under warranty. The guy told me it would be covered only if I would pay for the last shocks they replaced. I was so mad and I called the headquarters of dodge. The lady from over there was trying to reach my service adviser but he never answered. Couple hours passed by and the dealer calls me and says the the will do the shocks this time but next time I have to pay. I told to put in good shocks this time. I get home with the car, I did like 10 miles and I hear so leaking noise. I look under the car and the leafy shock is leaking really bad for the fourth time. I am feed up with this car and thee service. Very disappointed
There are a couple TSB's for this issue. I have also had my rear shocks replaced only to find the issue was still there. I have heard that the most recent TSB that supercedes all the others will actually fix the issue. I have the max care warranty with a $100.00 deductible so I wait for a few things to pile up before I pay the deductible and have stuff fixed (they will address as many issues as you have with only one payout of the deductible ) and this is on the list. For the guys still under warranty take a look at the link and find the TSB number, let us know how it goes.

I had a similar issue on a previous car I had made by GM. The dealer replaced my faulty fuel injectors under warranty in accordance with the TSB which noted that the fuel injectors were a bad design and defective.
10,000 miles later and no longer under warranty, I took it back in to a different dealer this time as the CEL came back on and they told me it was the fuel injectors. I told them they were already previously replaced by another dealer, which they verified in their system and noted that the previous dealer that did the work installed the old defective fuel injectors instead of the new ones as prescribed by the TSB. So they basically swapped out one bad part for another instead of following the TSB like they should have. The new dealer service manager covered it fully even though I was out of warranty.
My guess is you have the same issue with that dealer. They're swapping out bad parts with bad parts. You know what they say about crap that goes in...
