Default Caliper covers and lug nuts installed

I really loved the wheels before, but the covers and lugs really set it off.

Sorry but getting them on there was more important than getting her washed.

Herse is before and after

yeah im disappointed...getting bored already,
just 2-3 months or so in...at least if there was an aftermarket
for this thing...! nothin for a 2013! barely
any for 2011+ ...and they gave us crap from the factory..
the ***** on dodge, they make an exhaust and suspension and brake system for a SEMA show, but they give u brakes that would be at home
on a hyundai on the production R/T?! u see how tiny those rear rotors are?!

dodge dropped the ball or got cheap and lazy on the DD R/T and basically just made it a sporty looking crew or
citadel. I thought the Heat was supposed be for looks, and the R/T was supposed to be
the performance truck of the bunch, between the sporty looking and luxury models.
Instead, its just a sporty looking towmobile. handling, braking, and acceleration are average
at best. I feel cheated and have no plans to consider dodge again
in the future. unless its an srt8 which i know typically are done right and meet
expectations, and are a well defined class of performance vehicle. R/T clearly could mean anything to dodge, including just flashy badges and looks, and a fast & tough sounding acronym

a hemi does not an R/T make - no factory brake, exhaust,
tranny, handling, tuning, or engine mods and a slightly stiffer/barely lower suspension and a monochrome paint job and its called an R/T? really ? wow...pitiful...like a hot braindead airhead girl..ita cute and fun at first,
them you realize theres no substance,
and you get bored, maybe keep her on the side when you dont feel like talkin
but you marry (aka buy) something that excites you in more ways
than just looks...which ALWAYS wears off quickest..!

for now ill just drive around in 2nd and 3rd gear in a straight line, keep her at
4k to 6k revs, and hope she stops at some point when i hit the brakes
lol - thats about the only way to enjoy this thing for me
for now - until i either spend thousands in a braking system worthy of
this heavy *** beast, a real full tune comes available that actually makes everything
better - tranny & engine - and someone makes a drop available...

Default Introduction

First of all I wanted to say hello to everyone in the forum. I have been on this since August 2012 when I purchased my 2011 Dodge Durango RT AWD in Black Crystal Pearl. I appreciate everyone's responses and posts and it is nice to see everyone enthusiastic on this model.

On the other hand, I do not like it when people decide to bash on the vehicle on this forum. This is where people are going for answers, showing their ideas/mods, and asking for help. This is my 3rd Dodge vehicle with a Hemi in it. I had previously owned a 2003 Dodge 1500 std cab short bed 2wd and a 2007 Dodge Charger RT R&T. I thought I was going to be upset when I traded in the Charger, but I could not be happier with the purchase. All of the griping on Dodge with the lack of throttle response, transmission and stopping power is amazing to me (I do know there are issues with vehicles, so if you have had technical/mechanical issues this is not about that.). I feel that this vehicle is very comparable to the Charger and Ram considering it is AWD, much heavier, and has the seating capacity of 7. I also feel that since 2003, they have done a great job with technology and fuel economy to get a little bit more out of such a large motor.

I will get off of my soap box now, but I just wanted to introduce myself and thank the individuals with the new mods and helpful suggestions/ideas. I look forward to uploading some photos soon once the Chicago area is done with snow and can get it detailed.

aww u dont like it when people SPEAK UP and say the truth?
maybe you should live in the matrix instead.
closed mouths dont get fed buddy...forums are not just
here for the good in life. just because you only had dodges and you are
used to getting less for your $$,
doesnt mean its a great truck, or meets everyones expectations.
mayne if you drove or owned a real performance SUV you'd
have something to compare it to. it is NOT a performance vehicle,
its brakes are pathetic, have you peeked at your rear rotors yet?
nows a good time...
wow he doesnt like it when someone bashes something that they own and have
every right to complain about lol wow! i wuv my duwango pweeze no say bad things about my dodge its da bestest in da whole wide world...wah wah wah

since 2003!? lol wtf...bro since 2003 ALL CARS have gotten better !
WAYYYY BETTER! even hyundai and kia make good cars now
the problem is theres nothing special or unique about the durango
or especially the R/T- it has zero performance improvements over the other
models in the bunch, and its NOT worthy of R/T nametags.
my 2006 SS would pee on this truck. every suv seats 7 and has heated seats
blah blah not impressed - i bought an R/T expecting performance, or something more than badges and monochrome paint.

no wonder people in this country get endlessly pissed on, we settle for average, we shut up and pay our taxes, work 5+ days in echange for 1-2 days off...and we're happy with mediocrity and allowing others to screw us and have nothing to
answer to...and we think those that expect more and speak up about it
are the problem...

enjoy your cute but boring, and uninspiring, and not performance
oriented durango R/T...
I'll be in an SRT8 or cayenne turbo or another trailblazer SS laughing at you with my middle finger up soon enough as I pass the crap outta you in the left lane, while your tranny waits a few seconds then maybe decides to let you
accelerate...whipping hard turns at 80mph..shoot i can do all that that to you now in my nissan maxima...may the eco mpg's be with you !
my wife can have this slow and boring truck with baby sized brakes and zero aftermarket...maybe you can put some rims and r/t badges on your soapbox
it will probably pickup stop and handle like your bland durango R/T

quit foolin yourself you overpaid for an suv with a big motor and no substance
we all did...its ok

yeah i was reading his great write up last week...
i might but honestly at that point dont you just
fold your chips and trade up to an SRT8 lol !!

i mean its a big undertaking in cost and work,
and it doesnt solve my other problems of needing more
acceleration better handling/lower ride, and cleaner quicker
shifts ( even in manual the lag is unreal and unacceptable)

i dunno if i can at least get a tune one day that addresses
some of this + do the brakes and maybe a couple bolt ons (or a SC? think theres room?) maybe i make her worthy for less than the cost of an srt8...
may never get a drop though without hacking up factory parts!!
